Our Story

Our company was born within the University of Alicante after several years of research in the field of waste management and plastic recycling carried out by the founders of Fych. As a result of those years of work, three technologies were patented focused on increasing the recyclability of plastic products and improving the quality of recycled plastics so they can be used in high-value-added applications, thus contributing to the implementation of the Circular Economy in the sector.

Fych Technologies was created with the goal of transferring the technologies and knowledge generated to the industry and to continue using our research essence to provide technological solutions to waste management.

2019

IDEA

The idea for Fych originated from years of research by its founders in 2019.

2019

PATENT APPLICATIONS

In June and November of 2019, patent applications for our deodorization and delamination technologies were filed with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM).

2020

FOUNDATION

In November 2020, Fych Technologies was established as a company.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Some of the most important achievements in 2020 included winning the “Best Startup” award from Mares Circulares and the “Innovative Business Initiatives” award at the Gala Impulso organized by the University of Alicante (UA).

2021

PATENT GRANT

The patents for the delamination and deodorization technology were granted in 2021.

MORE ACHIEVEMENTS

In 2021, we continued to win awards, such as third place in the Santander X Spain for the best Startup. During this year, we also became part of Lanzadera, the business accelerator by Juan Roig.

2022

PILOT PLANT: DELAMINATION

In January 2022, our pilot delamination plant was installed at the Science Park of the University of Alicante.

PILOT PLANT: DEODORIZATION

In April 2022, in collaboration with UA and the Sorigue company, our pilot deodorization plant was installed in Tarragona.

Our Facilities

We are located in the Science Park of the University of Alicante (San Vicente del Raspeig), a meeting place for numerous innovative companies where technology stands out. Thanks to our location, we have comprehensive facilities that help us research and test new processes. We have our own offices where we develop our business vision, with a private laboratory equipped with the latest technologies in research, and a pilot plant that allows us to experiment and refine processes.
